Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the products and services offered by Lumen Signs Ltd ("Lumen") including the design, manufacture, and installation of signage. By using our products and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Ordering Process
To place an order with Lumen, you must provide accurate and complete information about the signage or signage services you require. This may include, but is not limited to, the type of sign, size, materials, and design specifications. Lumen will provide you with a quote based on this information, which you must accept before the order is confirmed.

2. Payment
You must pay the agreed-upon price for our products and services as outlined in the quote. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a deposit of 50% is required before work begins, and the balance is due upon completion. We accept payment via bank transfer, debit, or credit card.

3. Design and Manufacture
Lumen will provide a proof or mock-up of the design for your sign for your approval before production begins. Once you have approved the design, Lumen will begin manufacturing your sign. You agree to pay for any changes to the design or materials requested after approval, as well as any costs associated with correcting errors caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by you. Minor adjustments to the design or changes to materials may impact the delivery schedule.

4. Installation
Lumen may provide installation services for your sign as part of our services. We will install the sign at the location agreed upon, and you agree to provide access to the installation site and secure any necessary permissions, permits, or consents. Lumen is not liable for delays caused by your failure to obtain the necessary permissions.

5. Warranties
Lumen warrants that our products and services will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of installation. This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, extreme weather conditions, vandalism, or accidental damage after installation. Any issues arising from installation should be reported within 30 days for corrective action.

6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumen will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products and services, including but not limited to lost profits, revenue, or business opportunities. In any event, Lumen’s total liability will be limited to the value of the contract agreed upon.

7. Intellectual Property
Lumen retains all rights, title, and interest in any intellectual property created by us in connection with the design, manufacture, and installation of your sign, including but not limited to any designs, drawings, or specifications. You agree not to copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any of this intellectual property without our express written consent.

8. Site Conditions
You are responsible for ensuring that the installation site is ready for installation on the agreed date. If the site is not prepared or if conditions prevent the installation, you may be charged for additional time or return visits. This includes but is not limited to access issues, unsafe working conditions, or incomplete site preparations.

9. Governing Law
These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce.

10. Changes to these Terms
Lumen may update these Terms from time to time without notice. The most current version of these Terms will be posted on our website, and you agree to be bound by the current version at the time of service.
